TERMS AND CONDITIONS – GALLERIA’S GOT TALENT


Competition Rules:

 

  1. The competition is conducted by Arbour Town Pty Ltd, registration number 2004/015834/07 on behalf of Galleria Mall.
  2. A minor who enters the competition undertakes that he/she does so with his/her parent’s/legal guardian’s consent.
  3. No director, member, partner, employee, agent, consultant, promoter, supplier or anybody directly or indirectly involved in this competition and any spouse, life partner, immediate family member, business partner or associate of such person is allowed to participate. Please note that staff of tenants are not allowed to enter.
  4. This competition is open to amateurs only. Professional dancers, musicians, or singers are not permitted to enter. Should it be discovered that an entrant has misrepresented their status and entered under false pretences, the organisers reserve the right to disqualify the individual and reclaim any prize money awarded.
  5. The call to entry for the competition commences 1 August 2025 and ends on 31 August 2025.
  6. The audition rounds of the competition will be held on 6 and 7 September 2025. Participants need to arrive an hour early to attain a participant number. Successful participants from the internal auditions will be selected to participate in the semi-finals. The semi-finals will take place on 20 September 2025 with successful participants from the internal auditions. Ten participants from the total entrants of the semi-final round will be put through to the final round. Remaining participants will be eliminated. The names will be announced on www.galleria.co.za
  7. The final event will take place on Saturday, 27 September 2025. The winner will be chosen by the judges on the day of the final event.
  8. Each participant must perform one item, not exceeding three minutes. All backing tracks must be of high quality and submitted at least five days before the event. Please note: Cellphones, USBs, and iPods will not be accepted for audio playback, and the organisers cannot be held responsible for any technical issues on the day. Participants who progress to the finals will be required to perform two items if they make the Top 5.
  9. All performances must refrain from using profanity or swearing words, as this is a family show.
  10. All artists appearing on stage will be judged professionally.
  11. It is compulsory for all chosen finalists to appear in the grand finals on Saturday, 27 September 2025.
  12. No participant will be allowed to withdraw after signing the entry form.
  13. No hazardous or flammable equipment will be allowed in performances.
  14. It is mandatory for semi-finalists and finalists to attend the workshops prior to their performances. It will be held on the 10th,11th,17th,
  15. 18th September 2025 respectively, between 14h00 and 20h00. All finalist will have to attend the workshop and mentoring on 24th September 2025 from 9am to 4pm.
  16. Punctuality is of utmost importance for both semi-finalists and finalists. Failure to be on time may result in removal from the competition at the discretion of Galleria Mall.
  17. The winner agrees to accept the prize as is, per below.
  • 1st Place – R100 000 cash
  • 2nd Place – R60 000 cash
  • 3rd Place – R30 000 cash • Top School – R50 000 in Huawei products
  1. In the event of Galleria Mall not being able to contact a finalist, Galleria Mall reserves the right to select another.
  2. All participants must be prepared to have their photos taken and used for publicity.
  3. The winner must perform at Galleria Mall’s functions/events for free for a period of one year, at the discretion of Galleria Mall.
  4. Participants and the winner absolves Galleria Mall, its affiliates, its advertising agencies, advisors, suppliers and nominated agents from liability from any and all claims howsoever arising, including from willful misconduct or neglected acts or omissions on the part of any such person.
  5. Galleria Mall reserves the right to alter or cancel the competition at its discretion, without recourse.
  6. By participating in this competition, all participants agree to be bound by these official rules. Galleria Mall’s decision regarding any matter arising out of the competition shall be final and binding.
  7. Galleria Mall ensures compliance with POPIA regulations.
  8. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
